Go banana farmer, go!

This is our friend from the country of Samoa.  It's located here. His name is Sofarania Siufanua.  He's a banana farmer who microfinanced a loan for fertilizer.  We financed part of his loan at www.kiva.org.  He'll pay us back within 14 months.  This website gives 100% towards the loans for the poor in need.  The woman who started Kiva is a 20-something from Pittsburgh.  I heard her speak at the Willowcreek Leadership Summit in August.  If you want to read more about our banana farming buddy, check it out here.  You can see our picture if you scroll down to those who helped finance his loan.  Pretty cool, huh?  You can do it too for as low as $25 or as high as the full amount of the loan!  Browse by continent or by their occupation or by how much time they have to gather their loan, or gender...

Today, a tsunami actually hit Samoa...I wonder how Sofarania is doing :/  I wonder if his farm is still ok...Jesus be with him and all of his neighbors!
