Townie Time - Letchworth State Park

I recently enjoyed Townie Time at Letchworth State Park. Townie Time (for those of you who have no idea what that is) is a time when us girls who lived in a townhouse together at RWC our senior year and still live in the Rochester area get together for some female bonding time. We attempt to get together monthly. For our May Townie Time, we decided to go to Letchworth because one of the Townies, Megan (see picture on right), had never been there (or if she did, she was too young to remember). So here are some things that we did:
1. Megan met me at my place (she was the driver) and we headed to Kristen's house in LeRoy (back left). We then headed to Warsaw where we picked up Katie (back right) and then made the 20 minute drive to Letchworth.

2. Picnic lunch -Wegmans subs, pretzels, fruit, buffalo chicken dip, lemonade - mmmmm good!

3. Explored Letchworth, taking as many pictures as possible

4. Ate ice cream at their little ice cream parlor
5. Scariest moment of the day: hearing a train coming, looking up at the tracks and seeing two people running for their lives to get to the other side!!! Holy Smokes! Thankfully the train had slowed way down and gave the pedestrians the opportunity to get to the other side. If you look really closely, you can see them running in the picture on the left towards the left-hand side (under the tree branch that curves over the tracks)...and then the train came!!
