Stand Up Paddleboarding

Our friends Anna & Jeremy took us out Stand Up Paddleboarding today. It was so much! Stand Up Paddleboards are taller and wider than surf boards, and they have a nice pad on them to give your feet traction.

Since the water is consistently 58 degrees and it was a "cooler" day (64 degrees), Anna and I decided to wear our wetsuits. We got dropped off at the beach, where I was given a brief lesson and sent on our way, then the guys drove to another beach and waited for us there where we stopped for a wonderful brunch. Then the guys paddled back, and we drove and met them at the original beach we started at. We saw no sharks, thankfully, but there were dolphins :) Here's the photo recap:

Jeremy giving me instructions

You kneel out on the water until you are through the waves and
stable enough to stand
Got it? Yup! Let's Go!

On our knees
And we're up!

Now it's the guys' turn!

Can you see the dolphin in this picture???!!!
And they're up!
Coming back in to shore!

Such a fantastic experience! Can't wait to do it again!
