Highlights from Home

I spent almost 3 weeks at home with the family. It was wonderful! Here are some highlights of my time there:

Meeting my newest cousin Alex

Spending LOTS of time with Fabienne, including one whole day with her all.to.myself (except when marla was feeding her):

Taking Lincoln, Malacai, and Levi to the park to play on several occasions. Somehow it never got old! Playing with the boys (and watching them play together was so much fun!)
Linc had picture night for one of his games :)

Cai and I had fun on the swing :)

We visited Gram & Gramps Grimm in the nursing home. Although it is never easy, it is always good to see them! This was our last visit with them before our move.

My mom celebrated her birthday too! It was wonderful to be home on the actual day. She really wanted to ride the double bike - and she got to :)

Mom enjoyed it so much she was singing!

Me & Mand riding it

Andy & Mike riding it

Mand and the boys "riding"

Anj & Jess riding

The boys watching the riders

Watching the boys play

The look-alikes :)

Grandpa playing the harmonica for Mom & Eddy's birthday celebration

Scrumptious cake to celebrate

Seeing our precious kitty

Staycation with Andy and his brother Chris and his girlfriend Lauren
(We were supposed to go to Maine, but that fell through. Then we decided to go to the Adirondacks, until they predicted 4 inches of rain and "tornadic activity". We decided to play it safe, but were afraid the weathermen would be wrong and it would be an opportunity in the Dacks wasted. The weathermen were not wrong though and a tornado did touch down (in Vermont). We had a great time staying at Grimm Farms, playing Farkle, watching River Monsters, going to Highland Park, eating at different places in the city, going garage-saling, etc. It was wonderful quality time. So all in all, mission accomplished!)

Grilled out with friends too :)

Your cat is so cute! Does he remmeber you guys when you come home? Does it really feel like you still have a cat, or not really? I know you have a good home for your cat. But you will live apart from him for more years to come now?! Sigh..the not so great rules of RD life!
